Simple Vector Art! (Summer Learning Journey!)

 

Kia Ora everyone today I made a x-mas tree on google drawings for the vector art task.

My X-mas tree is very simple but also I think the colours stand out.

Is it going to be eid or Christmas for you guys?

Some Tradtions that my family do on x-mas we all in the afternoon go to my grandma's house to celebrate with her. Just because she can't really go any where by herself Cause she had a heart attack when around my mum was born.

Geometree Art! (Summer Learning Journey)

 Kia Ora Guys This is my first learning post from doing activities from the summer learning journey. 

Sorry I haven't been posting a lot.

But Here Is My Maths Geometree Art!

The Ideal Task of this maths/art activity was to 

1st draw a line but make sure the line is only a quarter of your paper.

2nd just start drawing like branches and connect them all over your paper so your drawing is nice and big so you don't waste space but don't colour yet.

3rd Watch this video right on the right CLICK HERE FOR THE VIDEO. 

4th After you watch that video try and Identify the shapes in your drawing to those one's in that video.

The Shapes names, Maybelline Scalene, Eloise Isosceles, and Daffodil Equilateral.

Maybelline Scalene is a shape with no same shape of the sides.

Eloise Isosceles is a shape has 2 equal sides on 1 individual shape.

Daffodil Equilateral is a shape that is always equal and nothing changes to that shape.

5th and Final Step Then Colour your Geometree in colours like yellow for Maybelline Scalene and the colours shapes in the video.

So I coloured mine a bit differently.

I used the colour purple as Maybelline Scalene.

I used the colour red as Daffodil Equilateral.

I used the colour blue as Eloise Isosceles.

Sentence 2 (character/scene)	She is running so she doesn’t miss her ride home.
Sentence 3 (Conflict)	She just didn’t get there in time and had to wait for the last train.
Sentence 4 (Conflict)	She went to play her game then a rubix cube rolled over to her. She was trying to solve the rubix cube. Then she found a pattern then thought about it in her head.

There I was just sitting down on the wooden bench waiting for someone to come and solve me. I was hoping that at least someone would come. I have been lonely all week because no one has been coming to the train station. Finally I saw a girl running as fast as I could scramble myself. She just missed the train and they were on their phone the whole time playing this colour game. So I decided to scramble myself and go over to her. There I went just acting natural but she got scared and thought that was a dream. But it wasn’t. So she picked me up and she tried to solve me. She turned me right, left, up, and down. She did solve 1 quarter of me and she kept trying to solve all of the other colours. But it was just too hard and she lost the colour that she had already solved. Then she chucked me away like I was nothing and she got mad then went back to playing her game. I looked at her and showed her a pattern of how to solve me. She was confused at first but she got what I meant. She looked like she was visualising a way to solve me in her mind. Then she kept solving me and solving me then she eventually solved me!  She felt proud of herself and she tapped me so I could interact with her. But I just couldn't interact when someone I am helping hasn’t solved me. So her train came and she went. She looked back at me and stared at me until the train left.

Coin Operated! (Writing)

 Kia Ora Guys this is my writing coin operated I hope you like my writing.

Also this story was fun to write.

On a blazing hot afternoon, a boy named Sam was walking on a concrete path and also playing with his toy rocket. Playing with his rocket, Sam saw  a massive rocket that said it could fly to space and that was actually his dream. Excitedly, He hopped on the rocket and pressed the button to go to space. Suddenly, it just wasn’t working. He kept pressing the button but still it wouldn’t work. Sam was really sad and frowned but then he realised that it cost money. Excited, Sam wanted to open a lemonade stand to earn money to fly on the rocket. So Sam opened the lemonade stand and he waited and waited decades and decades because barely no one came. But eventually people started to go to the lemonade stand. Then finally Sam got enough money to go on the rocket and make his dream come true.  Sam looked at all of the money that he had and he was so excited to go on the rocket. walking to the rocket dragging the money in a bag, Sam smiled and looked at the rocket. Finally getting his dream, Sam put all of the money in the machine and was ready to fly to space. Sam pressed the button but it didn’t work, he pressed the button again but it still didn’t work. Sam was really bummed out and thought that he just wasted all of his hard earned money but then the last coins dropped. Sam pressed the button for the last time then the engine started and the rocket turned 90 degrees. THen blast off! The rocket flew off to space and Sam felt like he was in his childhood, achieving his dreams. Sam really changed because he never gave up and he was persistent even though he had to wait decades.

Unique Wairaka Legend Retell!

	The legend of Wairaka
	A long time ago The Daughter of Chief Toroa Wairaka and her tribe the Ngati Awa were sailing across aotearoa with their waka the Mataatua. Wairaka and her tribe saw this exquisite beach in the distance they started to paddle from right to left. They got to the beach then the men hopped onto the land to try and find some food and water for all of them because they were starving.
	Suddenly there was an enormous storm about to rise up into the ocean. The Clouds started to turn grey and they slowly gathered together like it was a party. Waves started to crash all over the place like the waves weren’t there.  The frothed waves were like making coffee. Soon it wasn’t going to be safe around the area. The Mataatua Waka was going to capsize . All of the children were crying like they just lost all of their toys. All of the women were screaming as loud as they could so the men could save them. But the men didn’t hear the women scream for the men to save the women and children.
	Wairaka had to make a stubborn decision. She picked up the paddle which was tapu (sacried) . She knows that women aren’t allowed to even touch any paddle. But she knew something had to be done. She prayed to her ancestors and said these words “Kia Whakatane a u i  ahau Let me act like a man”.
	With one all mighty push Wairaka saved her tribe.
	Drained Wairaka and her tribe the Ngati Awa were relieved because they got back to shore and didn’t die. Wairaka and the Ngati Awa tribe found the beach was a good environment for them to stay. Making a decision, they lived on that beach for a while. They decided to name the beach whakatane because of Wairaka’s words “ Kia Whakatane a u ahau” that she said. Now you can actually see Wairaka standing on top of a rock at Whakatane beach that she saved her tribe on. Wairaka went on many adventures that we will save for another time.

Kia Ora Guys this is my Wairaka Legend retell. I also edited it to be more interesting. I think that this writing was easy because we had planning and a lot of time to write.

A Mysterious Shadow Writing Prompt!

                   Kia Ora Guys this is my A Mysterious Shadow Writing i hope you like it. Would you write a story or a description

The Lurking shadow walking across the street the mysterious person finds a house. The house being her favourite colour emerald neon green she stared into the fence saying 

“ This is a nice house and it would be perfect for me”. 

After a while she started to think 

“ Should i sneak in or should i just have a sneak peek”. 

The mysterious person thinking about it 

“I'm going to go into the house”.

 She crept into the backyard sneaking across checking to see if anyone's home. She's relieved that no one was home then she sneaked into the house. Walking into the house carefully she thought to herself 

“No ones here i should just relax".

 The mysterious person was just touring herself around and she suddenly found a really pretty animal. Finding the animal that she really wanted that she had been looking for years she finally said "hooray i found this"

.  “ A fully green cat you even have green food”

 She is trying to think "can I take this cat or should I just leave it” she thinked. 

Wondering if she could take it she said 

“Why not it’s not like anyone is interested in this cat”.

 While walking up stairs she hears a car she said 

“ Is this the owner of the house oh no”. 

She starts to tremble and feel like she's' melting away 'and people are surrounding her making her feel uncomfortable in every way. She heard someone next door and she looked out the window and there's no one there 

“Phew that wasn’t the owners” She sweated out. 

She happily played with the green cat and she suddenly started talking to the cat 

“ Hello kitty hmm i'm going to call you Emerald”. 

The mysterious person happy with their new cat started to forget that this wasn’t her house. For a while she was happy in the house and she suddenly felt hungry. 

 walked to the kitchen singing a song “ la di da di di la di da di da”. 

She opens the fridge and there's nothing, she opens all of the cabinets and there's nothing. 

She's really confused "why is there’s no food". 

“ I'm going to go to the dairy and buy some chocolate.” 

She screamed with happiness. Once she walked out of the gate she suddenly realised that the owners were opening the gate. She got caught and said 

“ I'm sorry please forgive me”. 

The owners asked “But how did you get in”.

“I locked picked the gate for it to open,” she said nervously. 

The owners were fine with it because she took her hood off and revealed herself. The mystery person found out that it was their friends house so they gave each other a big hug. 

“I'm sorry Rita for breaking in,” Said the mystery person. 

“It’s ok Emma,” said Revealing her name. 

“We should both go to each other's house, that's the plan”. 

They couldn’t have agreed more to make going to each other's house a plan. They were both happy and were both glad.
