Welcome to my blog! This is a place where I can share my learning. My blog is a collection of questions, ideas, learning in progress and finished work. This year our school focus is "In Our Backyard". Please make comments so I can deepen my understanding, learn about new ideas and improve my work. Thank you for taking the time to support my learning journey!
Kia ora Justus, wow isn't the Fairy Tern a beautiful bird. It's wings look so long, I wonder if they fly long distances? Your blog description is really helpful to readers as you explain the task and encourage us to reply to your question. Next time remember to use capital letters for words at the start of a sentence and proper nouns like names. You don't need capital letters for Main Task or Bird as these words are not at the start of the sentence nor are they proper nouns (like Fairy Tern). How did you find out the scientific name for the Ferry Tern? Did you know it was also called Tara Iti? I am enjoying learning lots more Maori names for birds this week. blog you later, Megan
Kia Ora Ms Judd, Yes, I think that the Fairy Tern is a Beautiful bird. Thank you also for the feedback It really helps me. I also went on a govt website to find out the scientific name of the Fairy Tern. Yes, I knew that a Fairy Tern's Maori name was Tara iti because I loved Fairy Tern's when I was just starting school. Have you seen a Fairy Tern Before? Have a Great Weekend! Justus
