Simple Vector Art! (Summer Learning Journey!)

Kia Ora everyone today I made a x-mas tree on google drawings for the vector art task.
My X-mas tree is very simple but also I think the colours stand out.
Is it going to be eid or Christmas for you guys?
Some Tradtions that my family do on x-mas we all in the afternoon go to my grandma's house to celebrate with her. Just because she can't really go any where by herself Cause she had a heart attack when around my mum was born.
What are you guys doing for X-mas or Eid?
Have a Great Summer!

  1. Kia ora Justus, what a beautiful Christmas tree! I just put my Christmas tree up last night (a bit late I know!) but like you, I have kept the colours to a minimum this year, for effect. I have chosen just red, green and silver. Usually I would have a rainbow of baubles and tinsel, but I wanted to 'tame the tree' this year and stick with the angel theme we have going on. You asked about our traditions...well, we usually all dress up and come together for Christmas Day as a family. This year we are all coming as ANGELS! So everyone has to wear white, have wings and a halo - ha ha! I have already got my wings from Spotlight and am still trying to work out how I best make my halo. Do you have any ideas for me?
It's lovely that you spend time at your grandma's house, celebrating Christmas with her. That's one of the aspects of Christmas I love so much (apart from the presents of course!), and that's being with those we love. Thank you for sharing your personal story and Christmas plans. I look forward to following your blog over the summer holidays. Have a great rest of your week. Nga mihi, Naomi (Manaiakalani Facilitator).

  2. Kia ora Justus!

My name is Charlotte and I am from the Manaiakalani Summer Learning Journey team!

Pai mahi on creating a Christmas tree for the vector art task! I love your tree! I often think that less is more, and in the case of your tree, it works!! The colours POP and the star at the top catches your eye.

Did you enjoy creating vector art? Was it fun, easy, tricky? Any top tips for someone wanting to create some vector art?

Do you have a Christmas tree at your house? If so, does it have decorations or is it simple like the one you have created?

I am celebrating Christmas, which is only FIVE days away?! Thank you for sharing your Christmas plans with me! Are you looking forward to Christmas? My Christmas plans this year is to spend the morning with my parents, and then starting a multiday hike in the Kaimai ranges!

I am looking forward to reading more of your posts throughout this raumati for SLJ!

    Ka pai, Justus!

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Charlotte :)

    1. Morena Charlottle,
Thank you for taking your time to comment on my blog I love it when I get a message from anyone. Yes, I enjoyed creating my vector art.
It was really fun to make my vector art on google drawings.
I think my top tip is don't make it to detailed that much because you can go for just a simple original tree.
No, I do not have a Christmas tree at my house because I have 5 cats and they are very naughty and will most likely push the tree of the stand. I am very excited and looking forward for christmas because I have bought my family some presents.
      Have a Great Summer!
      Stay Safe.

    2. Mōrena Justus!

It is nice getting comments on your work isn’t it? You are very welcome.

Awesome tip!! I’m glad that you enjoyed creating it!

Five cats? My goodness! I can imagine that they would love climbing up the branches, and knocking the decorations off the tree! Smart option to go without it… I’ve seen some flat Christmas tree pictures that you can stick on walls. Maybe that could be a way to go?

Aren’t you good! Giving presents is such a lovely thing isn’t it? Makes your heart feel full!

      Ngā mihi nui,
      Charlotte :)

  4. Kia ora Justus. What an awesome post and tree. I think you're right, keeping it simple is best sometimes. Did you use the polyline tool? I'm wondering if you could draw half a tree then duplicate it and flip it to make it symmetrical. What do you think? I really like the way you've engaged your audience by asking them questions. Keep up the awesome blogging.
